Elizabeth believes financial planning should help people make better decisions with their wealth—not simply accumulate more of it. She helps affluent individuals and families understand what they want their money to accomplish, then helps them evaluate their choices through the lens of their goals, values, and broader financial picture.
She’s particularly passionate about the transition from building wealth to using it. After years of disciplined saving, some clients find it surprisingly difficult to give themselves permission to spend more, give more, or enjoy what they’ve built. Elizabeth helps them understand what’s possible and make those decisions thoughtfully, whether that means creating retirement income, supporting family, increasing charitable giving, or pursuing a lifestyle they may not have realized was within reach.
Planning Specialty
Elizabeth works with executives, business owners, physicians, attorneys, and other people with complex financial lives. She also advises single, divorced, and widowed women, including those who unexpectedly find themselves responsible for financial decisions they may not have previously managed.
When working with couples, she’s intentional about making sure both partners are engaged in the planning process. When one spouse—often the wife—has historically taken a backseat in financial conversations, Elizabeth works to bring that person closer to the table so they understand the plan and feel equipped to participate in the decisions that affect their future.
Retirement income planning is a particular area of interest for Elizabeth. She enjoys bringing together investment strategy, cash flow planning, and tax efficiency to determine how clients can draw from the wealth they’ve accumulated while considering Social Security, pensions, Medicare-related tax thresholds, charitable giving, gifts to family, and the potential tax impact on future beneficiaries. Fitting those moving pieces together is a puzzle she genuinely enjoys solving.
Her Approach
Elizabeth often describes herself as part teacher, part therapist. She loves educating clients and has a knack for meeting people wherever they are in their financial understanding. Questions are encouraged, and she takes the time to explain concepts without assuming what someone might already know.
Through those conversations, Elizabeth helps clients understand their options and feel confident about the decisions they’re making. Her attention to detail and accountability carry that work beyond the meeting: when a client commits to an important next step, she follows up to make sure it gets done. It’s this combination of understanding, guidance, and follow-through that leads many clients to tell Elizabeth how much better they feel after meeting with her.
Professional Background
