Mark’s primary objective as an advisor is to give people confidence in their financial decisions. By coordinating the different parts of their financial world into a comprehensive plan, he helps clients see the big-picture impact of their choices and make informed decisions that lead them closer to their goals. Through this process, he helps reduce financial stress and empowers them to enjoy their success. His hope is that clients will fully understand their financial capacity and pursue the priorities that matter to them—like retiring early, taking a dream vacation with their family, or giving more generously.
Planning Specialty
Mark enjoys partnering with people who have worked hard to build meaningful wealth. His clients tend to be curious, engaged, and appreciative of thoughtful advice. Their financial lives have become increasingly complex, and Mark helps them align their investments, tax strategies, retirement planning, estate planning, and other important decisions under one cohesive strategy that reflects their long-term idea of success.
His Approach
Mark’s client partnerships are built on communication, trust, and shared responsibility. He tells clients what they need to hear, even when it’s difficult, and every recommendation is based on what’s best for them. He believes an informed client is a confident client, so he focuses on making complex financial topics approachable and explaining the “why” behind his recommendations. Working alongside clients to move their plans forward, he takes ownership of the areas where he and his team can add the most value, coordinates the other moving pieces, and ensures the client is never left alone to navigate their next steps.
Professional Background
Mark entered the financial planning industry in 1997 with Jefferson Pilot Financial. He later worked with Aegis Financial before spending 15 years at RiverSource of Ameriprise Financial. In 2020, he joined Fathom Advisors.
